Mona et Toi is the artist project of French-born Alison Manicourt and London-born Iranian Shervin Hejazi. Composers for moving images, the duo have created music, sound design and given music direction for fashion icons such as Vogue, Lanvin, Stella McCartney, Tod’s, Mango and Mert Alas. Their debut single When You Hold Me Tight released in October 2021 was the first introduction to the duo’s sound and poetical lyrics. It featured heavily on several Spotify & Topsify playlists, Disco Naïveté, Vein Magazine, and on La Vague Parallele’s ‘Music Video of the Week’. In May 2022, they released I Wrote You A Letter, a follow up single at double the tempo, combining British new wave percussion with a French touch through nostalgic organs and a storytelling approach to lyrics. The music video, directed by close friend Laura Martinova, earned them a New Generation Award shortlist at Berlin Commercial & Fashion Film Festival 2022. Featured in over 100 playlists, they caught the attention of French Distributor Groover Obsessions with whom they recently signed for the distribution of their upcoming EP. Their new single “Merveille” will be released on the 7th of October.

Leur nouveau single « Merveille » sortira le 7 octobre.
