Danny Starr has spent several years honing his songwriting craft and developing a unique and personal style that is immediately recognisable as his own. Since he started writing at 14, Danny has blended the raw gut-wrenching emotion of inspirations such as Amy Winehouse and Ben Howard with the in-depth storytelling of Passenger and Arctic Monkeys. And it is this affinity for storytelling that makes Danny’s live performances unique, at which he tells a new story at each show using his original songs to soundtrack the plot he describes in the breaks between the songs.
Danny’s music, which mixes indie-rock with acoustic songwriting and soulful lyrics has gained substantial attention from across the globe, including ongoing support from BBC Introducing. Over the last few years, since the success of his single ‘Double Red Line’, particularly in Canada and Brazil, Danny’s fan base has continued to grow, leading to multiple sell-out headline tour dates and much excitement surrounding his upcoming project. The first track of this project is Danny’s most personal yet, through which he drops his guard and opens up about his difficulties with his mental health, which as for many were accentuated during the lockdown of early last year.
Following 2 sell-out headline shows at Oslo Hackney, Danny did an other night of storytelling at The Grace, London in October 2021.

Et c’est cette affinité pour les histoires qui rend uniques les performances live de Danny, faites comme une succession de chapitres développant un récit.
Son mélange d’indie-rock et de chansons acoustiques avec des paroles pleines d’esprit et de sensibilité a suscité une attention considérable dans le monde entier, notamment grâce au soutien constant de BBC Introducing. Au cours des dernières années, depuis le succès de son single « Double Red Line » (plus de 200k streams), son public n’a cessé de croître, ce qui a conduit à plusieurs dates de tournée à guichets fermés et à une grande attente autour de son prochain projet.
Le premier titre dévoilé est le plus personnel de Danny à ce jour : il baisse sa garde et s’ouvre sur sa santé mentale, impactée comme pour beaucoup par les confinements successifs.
Après deux concerts à guichets fermés à Oslo Hackney, Danny a fait une autre date au Grace, à Londres, en octobre 2021.
