Diego Jovanholi, also known as Jova, is a singer, songwriter, designer, and illustrator hailing from Belford Roxo, a municipality located in the Baixada Fluminense, a peripheral region of Rio de Janeiro. He created cultural events such as Cine Rock and Cineclube Donana at the Donana Cultural Center, an important educational and artistic space in the Baixada Fluminense built by his family. Jova has been part of bands like Mazé, exploring elements from ska to samba. After moving to São Paulo, he resumed his musical career and released three EPs, with some songs gaining recognition on Spotify’s Indie Brasil editorial playlist. In 2022, Jova ventured into new musical directions by releasing six singles inspired by synthpop and pop rock from the 80s and 90s. In April 2023, he has released his new EP titled « Casa Caída. »
