In his mid twenties, Jonny had a serious motorcycle accident in Laos. Shortly afterwards he decided to change careers from acting to singing. In 2019 he founded London indie band Montrell and toured Europe multiple times, selling their homemade chilli sauce as merch. The band eventually won praise from various channels including the BBC, NBC and Elton John’s Rocket Hour. In 2024, Jonny started his solo project with a new group of engineers and musicians he’d met along the way. His first single ‘Tijuana’ goes out on March 1st.
