AURUS is a modern mirage. The embodiment of our contradictions. Bastien Picot distils in his EP his hometown music style – Maloya – into a pop, orchestral, percussive space, reminding of Nakhane, Peter Gabriel or Woodkid. In 2019, his song « The Abettors », featuring Sandra Nkaké, raises awareness on a painful system taking the living for granted. After notable performances at the MaMA, opening for Vendredi sur Mer at the Olympia, and playing at Bars en Trans, Aurus becomes the « Revelation » of the « Chantier des Francos » for the year 2020. His last EP is out since June 2020.

Bastien Picot distille dans ce premier EP le Maloya de ses racines dans un écrin pop orchestral et percussif, rappelant Nakhane, Peter Gabriel ou Woodkid. A l’Automne 2019, AURUS sort “The Abettors”, un titre en duo avec Sandra Nkaké illustrant une prise de conscience, le douloureux réveil d’un système prenant le vivant pour acquis. Après des performances remarquées au MaMa, à l’Olympia en première partie de Vendredi sur mer puis aux Bars en Trans, AURUS devient artiste Révélation du Chantier des Francos pour l’année 2020. Il a sorti son dernier EP le 12 juin 2020.
